1996, Document Solutions, Inc. opened its doors to focus
on leveraging the capabilities of PDF technology in
meeting the needs of electronic document, publishing
and business-process applications.
At
the time, most people thought of PDF simply as a convenient
way for publishers to communicate with printers. At
Document Solutions, we saw the dawn of a new day in
content management and distribution.
Breaking
new ground from Day One
Back
in 1996, we designed and produced one of the world's
first interactive CD-ROMs using all-PDF technology.
(That disc, Voicings
Publication's Sunday Sermons on CD-ROM, is now in
it's 2nd edition)
In
1997, we introduced the often-imitated MultiResolution
process, a breakthrough in high-fidelity conversion
of legacy content.
The
same year, DSI began delivering Brochure
Grade Formatted Text & Graphics, the very
best quality and the very smallest file-size available
from a scanned document.
And
we kept going...
